Roses lead the way here too — photographic close-ups, shabby bouquets in painted vases, stems laid over sheet music, and Art Nouveau perfume-label frames in pink, blue and sepia. Around them blossoms a whole garden in large format: sunflowers in the fields, red poppies and blue peonies, tulips from old botanical plates, wisteria, lilac, lavender, dahlias and calla lilies, visited by butterflies, bumblebees and hummingbirds. A few sheets spread soft all-over backgrounds of greenery and pale blooms, and a poinsettia series stands ready for Christmas projects. Printed in A0, A1 and A2, each design is a single large artwork: apply the rice paper to a cabinet door, a tabletop, a headboard or a canvas and one sheet dresses the entire surface with that elegant, distinctive effect only rice paper can give.
