The modern portrait series surrounds each beloved object with flowers: a turquoise telephone, typewriters and sewing machines in full bloom, a bellows camera, a lantern, a gramophone, a compass, a violin on sheet music, stacked old books and a dressmaker’s mannequin. Printed in A0, A1 and A2, each sheet dresses a whole panel: apply the rice paper to a cabinet door, a desk top or a studio canvas and give the piece that nostalgic, hand-drawn soul only rice paper can give.
