Rice Paper: Patterns

Patterns is the toolbox every decoupage project starts or ends with: the sheet that covers, wraps and ties everything together. The classics are all here — gold damasks on black, authentic William Morris designs, a Persian carpet, Florentine majolica, paisley and black-and-white lace — next to themed repeats: playing cards, ladybirds, butterflies, flamingos, cats in Santa hats, Nordic reindeer knits, nautical blues with seahorses and waves, and snowflakes in eight different colours.

The material side imitates white and grey marble, leather and snakeskin, rust and riveted metal, woven straw, old plaster and written parchment, while soft watercolour washes make gentle backgrounds for layering.

The newest series add dense sunflowers, hydrangeas on black, two-tone acanthus scrolls, retro triangles and shabby rosebuds in four colourways. Apply the rice paper to wood, glass, cardboard or fabric and give every project the perfect background.
