Rice Paper: Skulls

Skulls rides two lanes at once. The playful lane blooms with Mexican sugar skulls in every colour, Posada-style Catrinas and señoritas in Día de los Muertos make-up, heart-and-skull patterns, pop-art grids and rose-covered skulls chased by butterflies.

The rock lane answers with grunge posters — a skull in headphones, a bandana soldier over the Union Jack, punk collages and dripping street-art walls.
