Time is told here in every register. Ornate mantel and wall clocks bloom with watercolour peonies and roses, pocket watches float on starry indigo skies, and hourglasses rest among white roses. A whole series of large wood-grain dials — with vintage lettering, roses, a peacock, butterflies, even Marilyn and the Eiffel Tower — is designed to become the face of a real wall clock. For grittier projects there are steampunk gears and movements, heaps of antique pocket watches, spiralling numerals, grunge parchments and the astronomical clock of Prague. Apply the rice paper to wood, metal, clock bases or journal covers and give every piece that elegant, unmistakable character only rice paper can give — the dial sheets, paired with a simple clock mechanism, turn a plain board into a finished timepiece.
